During the summer, Allegri campaigned for Rabiot. Even if he said that nothing was happening, talks were ongoing across the mercato, and when he got the chance to sign his former midfielder, he did not hesitate.

Rabiot’s importance in numbers
At the weekend, he scored his fifth Serie A goal of the season, critical to his side picking up three points. His return to the team also showed that, when he plays, the Rossoneri are simply much better.
As MilanNews reports, with him in the side, they have collected 2.38 points per game, a title-winning average. Indeed, this is a better collection rate than Inter have this season, showing that he may be the key.
If it needed any further proof, without Rabiot, Allegri’s side have only averaged 1.4 points per game, which would be 53 points across the season. In other words, without him, this season may not have been too different to last.
