According to SPORT, Florentino Pérez tried to bring Kylian Mbappé to Madrid over the summer but eventually the French international decided to renew with PSG. They chose not to sign a new striker despite Luka Jovic’s exit, even though they had a chance to get Gabriel Jesús before he went to Arsenal.
Los Blancos also had the chance to sign Raúl de Tomás from Espanyol but they decided not to pursue that option and instead he ended up at fellow Madrid-based side Rayo Vallecano.
Now, Real Madrid’s management are looking at a signing next summer to bolster the attack, but not a huge operation while waiting to see how Mbappé and Erling Haaland’s situations develop, because Perez is ‘still obsessed with getting one of these two’.
Victor Osimhen of Napoli and Rafael Leao of Milan are two options mentioned, but the reports suggest that any concrete attempt will depend on Carlo Ancelotti pressing for the move.
