ABC: Real Madrid identify Milan star as potential fix for ageing department

Real Madrid are still looking for more young talent to add to their midfield department and they have apparently got an AC Milan star in their sights.

According to a report from ABC in Spain (via MadridUniversal), Real Madrid are still looking for long-term midfield options despite the fact they spent €100m on Aurelien Tchouameni and €40m on Eduardo Camavinga.

The source claims that Los Blancos are still looking for cover considering the age of Toni Kroos and Luka Modric, with Tonali seen by their management as a potential option ahead of the summer transfer window.

While Jude Bellingham continues to be mentioned as a target for the LaLiga champions, they are looking at a potential back-up plan in the case that he were to prefer a return to the Premier League, and Tonali could well be the man that they choose to go for.

Of course, Tonali is a boyhood Milanista and has a very deep attachment to the club, having only renewed his contract last year, so it remains to be seen what interest the Italian would have in leaving.
