Tuttosport: Rebic searching for consistency and to secure his Milan future

The season is getting closer and closer to resuming and the second part of the campaign will be crucial in the future of Ante Rebic, a report claims.

Tuttosport (via MilanNews) writes that until Olivier Giroud’s return from his post World Cup vacation, Stefano Pioli has practically only Rebic available as a centre-forward. Zlatan Ibrahimovic is in fact still recovering from knee surgery, while during the retreat in Dubai Divock Origi sustained a new muscle problem that will keep him out for at least a couple of weeks.

It will therefore be the Croatian’s job to lead the attack and an argument could be made that his best performances for Milan have come in that position. However, the former Eintracht Frankfurt star must eliminate the too many ups and downs he has had so far to become a consistent attacking weapon.

This season he started well with a brace in the first league game, but since then he has gone back to struggling, also being impacted by physical problems. In the coming months Rebic is also fighting for his future at Milan because the plan is to sign a new forward next summer, with a sale potentially needed to make room.
