Following the game between AC Milan and Monza, in which he scored the winner, Tijjani Reijnders spoke to the media and shared his thoughts on the performance.

Milan clinched three crucial points against the Berlusconi side despite a subpar performance, finding the back of the net at the end of the first half. Reijnders made the most of a rebound in the box, heading the ball into a practically open net.

After the game, as cited by MilanNews, Reijnders spoke to Sky Italia and shared his thoughts on the important win. He was named the MOTM by Serie A and also in our player ratings, so naturally he was asked about the former.

Man of the match today. Are you enjoying scoring?

“Yes, it’s always nice. It was an important goal in a difficult match. But with a lot of work from the team, we managed to win.”

On the goal…

“I wanted the ball first, but fortunately I was on the right trajectory and with my head I scored the goal.”

Did you leave the field a little sore?

“I’m fine, now we have to recover for Real Madrid.”

Reijnders is expected to pen a new contract at the end of the season, as Milan intend to extend it until 2030. There will be a significant pay rise and his father has already made it clear that they want to continue the partnership with the Rossoneri.
