AC Milan are doing everything they can to renew Rafael Leao’s contract with talks ongoing on multiple fronts, according to a report.

According to the latest from Mateo Moretto of Relevo, there is a verbal agreement on salary between Milan and Leao, which will be around €5m net per season as a fixed base plus some bonuses linked to individual and team objectives.
It will not be a short-term or a bridge renewal as has been hypothesised by some sources, while in recent meeting it has emerged that qualification for the next edition Champions League is very important in terms of economic factors and the project overall, but it is ‘not strictly determinant and influential’.
Meanwhile, Lille and Milan are in permanent contact on the issue of the fine owed to Sporting CP, and during the week there will be more new contacts to try to reach the end of the soap opera.
Moretto concludes: ‘Milan are doing everything possible to renew Rafa NOW’.
