Relevo: Milan eye Atalanta midfielder de Roon as potential Krunic replacement

Marten de Roon is the latest midfielder to be linked with AC Milan, who are scanning the market amid Rade Krunic’s potential departure. The Rossoneri are keeping tabs on the Dutchman, a report claims.

Fenerbahce are keen on securing the services of Rade Krunic this summer and the player has accepted the move, given a hefty pay rise. However, the Turkish side have not been able to satisfy Milan just yet, but they could table a new offer.

According to Matteo Moretto of Relevo, Milan have Atalanta midfielder Marten de Roon on their list of potential Krunic’s replacements. The 32-year-old is very defensive in his nature and would fit well in the 4-3-3 formation.

Milan’s relations with Atalanta are excellent after reaching an agreement for the transfer of Charles De Ketelaere and this could help in the potential negotiations over de Roon. Given his age and contract length, he would probably cost around €8-10m.
