Lorenzo Colombo

AC Milan have devised a plan to renew Lorenzo Colombo’s contract with the club before then sending him out on loan, on one condition.

As has been reported by Relevo’s Matteo Moretto on X, Colombo could be given a new deal by Milan that will keep him at the club until 2028.

He would then be loaned to Monza who are very interested in signing him. Raffaelle Palladino spoke very admiringly about Colombo after their defeat to Inter on Saturday evening.

This whole operation will only go ahead if Milan can secure a new striker in the transfer window this summer, as Colombo will be needed for depth if nobody else joins.

It is not clear whether he would be given a new contract whilst also staying at the club, or if that would only be offered were he heading out on loan.

He spent last season on loan at Lecce and had a fairly successful time.
