As has been reported by Relevo, the talks between the Rossoneri and Valencia for the American midfielder were progressing extremely well and a deal for a €17 million move had been all but agreed.
The Valencia owner then upped the asking price to €25m and it stalled the negotiations, with Milan focusing their efforts elsewhere. Despite that, they do not view the player as a lost cause.
With a small raise in the offer from Milan, the situation can be unlocked again. Despite the fact that Milan are now very close to signing Reijnders from AZ Alkmaar, they still want to sign Musah as well as there is a need for depth in midfield.
With a need to buy a striker as well, funds could start to become very tight.
