GFFN: Renato Sanches stuck in difficult triangle amid bids from Milan and PSG – the situation

The rather bizarre triangle involved Renato Sanches and his future seems to be showing no signs of breaking any time soon, a report claims.

According to GFFN, Paris Saint-Germain are keen on signing Renato Sanches and they have had an agreement in principle over personal terms in place since last month with the Portugal international, who would reunite with Christophe Galtier and Luis Campos who were the head coach and sporting director respectively at Lille for their 2020-21 Ligue 1 triumph.

PSG are pushing for a season-long loan with obligation to buy that would require a contract extension with Lille to be completed first given his current deal expires in less than 12 months (June 2023).

However, Lille are ‘more inclined’ to sell to Milan who are offering €12m for a permanent deal this summer, whereas the Parisians  have offered €15m including bonuses but money that would be paid next year.

There has now been a deadlock for two weeks and while Sanches had previously rejected Milan’s attempts in favour of PSG, Paolo Maldini and Ricky Massara will not give up because they clearly think they still have a chance.
