Report: Milan ready to offer up two centre-backs in player-plus-cash deal for Celtic star

AC Milan are ready to offer Celtic two defenders plus cash in exchange for Kristoffer Ajer, according to a report.

It was reported by Calciomercato.com on Friday that Ajer is the most concrete target for Milan in terms of defensive reinforcements.

The SEG agency, who looks after the interests of the 22-year-old, are in constant contact with the leaders of the Rossoneri and the intention is to start negotiations.

They added that Celtic are asking for €20million and Milan are carefully evaluating all the economic parameters of the possible operation. His salary fits perfectly into Elliott’s policy, and the player will leave this summer.

However, the Sunday Post are reporting that Milan are willing to increase their bid for the Norwegian to £22.4m (€25m) and throw in Matteo Gabbia and Mateo Musacchio to get the deal done.

Musacchio has been a bit-part player for Milan this season and has struggled with injuries, while Gabbia impressed upon his breakthrough into the senior side but continues to be linked with a loan exit.
