CM: Celtic fix asking price as Milan enter talks over salary and contract length with star man

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan have begun contacts with the agency of Celtic star Kristoffer Ajer over a summer move with his price tag fixed, a report claims.

According to Calciomercato.com, RB Leipzig defender Dayot Upamecano remains the dream for Milan but his high valuation means that Ajer is the most concrete target.

The SEG agency, who looks after the interests of the 22-year-old, are in constant contact with the leaders of the Rossoneri and the intention is to start negotiations.

Celtic are asking for €20million and Milan are carefully evaluating all the economic parameters of the possible operation. His salary fits perfectly into Elliott’s policy, and the player will leave this summer.

Now Ajer is carefully evaluating all the offers with his entourage and the feeling is that it could take a month or more for him to decide.

That is why Milan are trying to get the player’s approval first and then present an official offer to Celtic, as Leicester (where he would find his mentor Brendan Rodgers) and Sevilla are also keen.

CEO Ivan Gazidis’ right-hand man Hendrik Almstadt has opened discussions with SEG looking for an agreement on the duration of his contract and the salary, meaning work is firmly in progress.

  1. £25 million at least if there three teams after him let them bid only if he wants to go I would like Celtic to keep him for another season but if he wont sign a new contract then have to sell
