Reports: Fiorentina and Monza join race to sign exit-bound Milan captain

Alessio Romagnoli appears to be on the verge of leaving AC Milan. His contract with the Rossoneri will expire at the end of the month and several teams are interested in his services.

The Milan captain’s boyhood club, Lazio, have been heavily linked with him and it has almost seemed like a matter of time. However, with several teams lurking in the background given that it’s a free transfer, nothing can be ruled out.

As reported by Gazzetta Dello Sport this morning (via MilanNews), Silvio Berlusconi’s club Monza have asked for information on the matter. Their director Adriano Galliani, of course, was the man who brought Romagnoli to Milan in the first place.

In addition to Monza, as stated by QS (via MilanNews), Fiorentina are also tempted to join the race for Romagnoli this summer. Lazio remain clear favourites but, as said, nothing can be ruled out for the time being – not even a Milan renewal (albeit very unlikely).
