Reports: Milan Futuro close to signing Roma goalkeeper – the formula and figures

AC Milan are not just working on signing a goalkeeper for the first team but also a new option for the Futuro, with Davide Mastrantonio possibly arrived.

Milan already have several young goalkeepers ready to fight to earn a place both in the Milan Futuro and possibly as third-choice goalkeeper of the first team.

There is Lapo Nava who has already made his Serie A debut, the UEFA Youth League hero Noah Raveyre and Lorenzo Torriani who is out in the USA for preseason.

Going even younger than that, Alessandro Longoni is very highly rated and he was a protagonist along with Francesco Camarda in the Italy U17 side that won the European Championship just a few weeks ago.

According to Tuttosport and Nicolò Schira (via Radio Rossonera), Milan Futuro are very close to signing Davide Mastrantonio from Roma. He was a European champion in 2023 with Alberto Bollini’s Under 19s and his agent is Federico Pastorello.

Why is that significant? It is the same agent who is negotiating with the Milan directors to bring Simone Scuffet from Cagliari, another of his clients, to the Rossoneri as Mike Maignan’s deputy while Marco Sportiello’s injury heals.

For Mastrantonio it will apparently be loan with option to buy for €150k, with Roma keeping the possibility of a buy-back for €300k. Last season, the teenager played on loan in Serie C for Pro Vercelli and Guidonia.
