There is a possibility that Gianluigi Donnarumma’s renewal might not be as straightforward as initially thought, according to a report.

With six months left until his contract expires, the pressure on Milan is growing by the week to find an agreement or risk losing such a talented player for free.
According to the latest from il Corriere della Sera (via MilanLive), there are still two knots to be solved in order to reach a full agreement with Donnarumma and his agent Mino Raiola.
As expected, the first is the salary that he will receive. Donnarumma currently gets €6m net per season and the new contract will have to be higher. The management have tabled an offer of €7.5m plus bonuses but Raiola wants €10m.
Meanwhile, il Corriere dello Sport report that the Milan leadership are not keen on Raiola’s insistence that a release clause is inserted into the contract. Maldini and co. do not want to have the worry of what the Italian-Dutch agent.
What matters is Donnarumma ‘s full will to stay at Milan for a long time and win titles with this shirt. Optimism therefore filters out, even if the next few weeks will be very hot and demanding on the tables of Casa Milan.
