Reports: Tomori could reunite with Chelsea man as Milan leapfrog Inter in race

AC Milan are looking for a centre-back on the market and the latest name on their radar is Trevoh Chalobah. However, it will be a race against city rivals Inter who have been probing the player for longer.

Late last night, as cited by MilanNews, Gianluca Di Marzio stated that Milan have set their sights on Chalobah for the defence. The Rossoneri are waiting for Chelsea to sign a defender in order to make a loan deal possible, but it also remains to be seen what the player wants to do.

Gazzetta Dello Sport (via MilanNews) added this morning that Chelsea have very specific demands: a paid dry loan valued at €3m. It’s a formula that has resulted in some lost interest on the Inter front but Milan are still interested, thus overtaking the Nerazzurri.

Both reports also mentioned Schalke 04’s Malick Thiaw as an alternative to Chalobah. It remains to be seen if Fikayo Tomori will reunite with the latter or if Milan will have to move for another player. In any case, they are working on bringing in a centre-back before the window closes.
