Repubblica: Milan ahead of Spurs and Napoli in Dragusin race thanks to counterpart

AC Milan are now the team in pole position to sign Radu Dragusin from Genoa because they have a player that can be used as a counterpart, a report claims.

After the return of Matteo Gabbia from his loan at Villarreal, it seems that the next reinforcement is close to arriving with as Filippo Terracciano has arrived to undergo his medical.

However, Geoffrey Moncada hinted yesterday that he won’t be the last defender to sign because the squad are still short on centre-backs while Fikayo Tomori, Pierre Kalulu and Malick Thiaw are all out.

According to La Repubblica,Milan are now the team that are in pole position to sign Dragusin from Genoa as they are ahead of both Napoli and Tottenham in the race to land him.

The former Juventus centre-back is ready to leave in January and Genoa are happy to cash in, while it appears that Lorenzo Colombo could be the key to unlocking things in Milan’s favour.

The striker is currently on loan at Monza but he could move to Genoa who are very keen on having him. Napoli are continuing to offer up counterparts such as Leo Ostigard, Diego Demme, Zanoli and Zerbin, but they are less appealing to the Grifone.

Di Marzio reported before the game that Moncada was present at Bologna-Genoa to watch Albert Gudmundsson and Joshua Zirkzee. The former scored a nice free-kick, also hitting the bar, but perhaps it is Dragusin who caught his eye.
