Some reaction has arrived from New York regarding the news that the Italian authorities have conducted a raid on AC Milan’s headquarters.
Milan are in Europa League action tonight against Slavia Praha and yet it is off-field matters that are dominating the news at the moment.
La Gazzetta dello Sport gave a detailed round-up of what we know so far regarding the raid on Casa Milan, while the brilliant Felice Raimondo picked apart the various cases that could be brought against the club.
Elliott issued their response on Tuesday night to the idea that they are still somehow in control of Milan, and a statement from RedBird followed last night insisting that they are the ones in charge.
This morning’s edition of La Repubblica (via Radio Rossonera) talks about the reaction of New York finance to the investigation into the club and even has a quote from financier who makes it clear that the United States does not give particular credit to the investigation.
“Something isn’t right. If the authorities do not demonstrate that they have the smoking gun, Italy’s credibility in attracting foreign investments will be at stake,” he said.

And moreover, from his words we read that ‘the invasion of the Financial Police to seize documents in a company that remains private does not provide much security’.
Finally, Repubblica reports a short excerpt from a statement by another person interviewed: “If Elliott has already said publicly that they have sold, I doubt they are lying and exposing himself to much more serious trouble.”
