Romano: AC Milan held talks with Juventus over swap deal – the situation

Lucas Paqueta’s adventure at San Siro could come to an end, just one year after joining the club. As reported by Calciomercato.com’s Fabrizio Romano, the Brazilian midfielder wants to leave, but it will only be on Milan’s conditions.

The Rossoneri are asking for €30-35m, which is a price that PSG haven’t touched, not even close. Meanwhile, per the report, there has been talk of a Paqueta-Bernardeschi swap with Juventus, as the Italian midfielder is no longer unsellable.

In recent days, the rumours have gathered even more steam: a pure midfielder for Sarri and a winger for Pioli. Putting it this way, you can understand the idea. In reality, the two clubs dealt with this possibility before Christmas, according to the report.

However, the talks slowed down, as Juve aren’t too keen on making a definite investment in Paqueta, while Bernardeschi expressed a will to remain at the club until the end of the season.

Milan, as stated by the report, would welcome the swap even though both clubs are now denying the rumours. The reason? There are no margins to reopen the negotiations due to the obstacles encountered last month.
