Romano: ‘Leipzig are expected to win the race over Arsenal and Milan’ for €25m playmaker

AC Milan and other suitors appear to have definitely missed out on the race to land Dominik Szoboszlai from Red Bull Salzburg.

The Rossoneri have been repeatedly linked with a move for the talented Hungarian playmaker since the beginning of the year, when it seemed as though Ralf Rangnick would leave Red Bull and join Milan as manager.

Despite that move being off, the intense links with Szoboszlai have continued with a number of sources claiming over the past couple of weeks that Paolo Maldini and co. are still in talks with his entourage.

According to what is being reported by Fabrizio Romano, RB Leipzig want to pay €25m release clause before Christmas to win the race for the 20-year-old.

Szoboszlai will focus on Salzburg’s league match this weekend then he will announce his decision. Leipzig are expected to win the race over Arsenal and Milan, the journalist has confirmed.
