Romano: Milan open talks over Ziyech with Chelsea – player gives green light

AC Milan are once again interested in signing Hakim Ziyech from Chelsea and this time they might get their man, according to reports.

According to Fabrizio Romano, Ziyech ‘can leave Chelsea this summer’ and Milan ‘are interested in signing him’, with talks ‘already ongoing’ with player’s entourage over the possibility of a switch to the Rossoneri.

As reported by his colleague Gianluca Di Marzio on Sky (via MilanNews), Milan are back in for Ziyech as he is a concrete objective for Paolo Maldini and Ricky Massara. Not only that, but the operation is easier than in the past due to the good relationship between the American owners of the two clubs.

The player has given the green light for the transfer, but work is underway to find a balance on the formula and on the salary. The interest is concrete though, and the Rossoneri might finally get their man.

Di Marzio also added that if Chelsea let Romelu Lukaku leave on loan at certain figures, they could do the same with Ziyech at around €4-5m [for the loan]. If Milan manage to sign him without making a major investment, they can still try to sign De Ketelaere.

Thomas Tuchel has only used Ziyech sparingly during his time at the club while Chelsea are being linked with Raheem Sterling. The Morocco international is also in possession of a Dutch passport and can therefore be registered as an EU player.
