Hakim Ziyech

Romano: Milan open talks over Ziyech with Chelsea – player gives green light

AC Milan are once again interested in signing Hakim Ziyech from Chelsea and this time they might get their man, according to reports.

According to Fabrizio Romano, Ziyech ‘can leave Chelsea this summer’ and Milan ‘are interested in signing him’, with talks ‘already ongoing’ with player’s entourage over the possibility of a switch to the Rossoneri.

As reported by his colleague Gianluca Di Marzio on Sky (via MilanNews), Milan are back in for Ziyech as he is a concrete objective for Paolo Maldini and Ricky Massara. Not only that, but the operation is easier than in the past due to the good relationship between the American owners of the two clubs.

The player has given the green light for the transfer, but work is underway to find a balance on the formula and on the salary. The interest is concrete though, and the Rossoneri might finally get their man.

Di Marzio also added that if Chelsea let Romelu Lukaku leave on loan at certain figures, they could do the same with Ziyech at around €4-5m [for the loan]. If Milan manage to sign him without making a major investment, they can still try to sign De Ketelaere.

Thomas Tuchel has only used Ziyech sparingly during his time at the club while Chelsea are being linked with Raheem Sterling. The Morocco international is also in possession of a Dutch passport and can therefore be registered as an EU player.

  1. Really hoping this happens fast. I’m not surprised. No one knows who AC Milan wants to sign until the last minute.

  2. Redbird takeover is the end of Milan project, the Americans know nothing about football, all clubs owned by Americans struggling except liverpool because of Klopp, Milan resurgence dream is over

    1. U do realize that the “Milan project” is american project. Elliott is an american company. Same company that saved Milan from bankruptcy , fix the financial books where Milan barely run any losses and on top of that won the scudetto.
4 of the biggest 5 premier league teams are american owned, ManUtd, Arsenal, Liverpool and now Chelsea.
Roma just won the first major european trophy, guess who are the owners.
Florentina is spending and building a very good team- american owner.
Do a research before u write.
Plus RedBird has been owners for less than a month and you already know they are not good.

      1. They are not because the targets that present to maldini and pioli . They probably get acerbi who is useless and slow . Veretout or cristante who are both useless and gonna have the same form as meite and bakayoko (2nd time) so you pray Milan would be close to the top 3 for the upcoming seasons we do back in when we aren’t do anything in the league or European competitions tbh

    2. Yes correct, klopp never ever would buy a player in age of 30… In Milan Management far to much Italiens in team too less… if you change that all become good.

      1. Damn I hate those dumbs who always said “Elliot is American”. Yes they are but they were in mission to increase the value of Milan so they did anything’s “good”. Unlike RedBird or any American owners, they will only suck the profit til the last drop and will invest when the club dying and it means too late, example : Manchester United.

  3. Hope is just some one more stupid ‘silly season’ rumour. CDK is so much better and useful player than this fellow… well, let’s see.

  4. He mostly play as RW. 5m euro loan + 25m euro obligation to buy already enough to take him from chelsea. We can cover RW with just pay loan and can focus budget for CDk

    1. Obligation to buy a player that hasn’t played 30 matches in league since 2018? His injuries are a big problem.

      1. Chelsea wont allow if just loan with option to buy. They need ensure ziyech get permanent deal from buyer. Infact im not sure chelsea trust AC Milan about option to buy anymore since we dont activate it for pasalic and bakayoko

  5. I can’t lie, this has to be true if it’s by fabrizio Romano so realistically if this transfer goes through which currently it’s early on then there’s only a few scenarios, one being we get Dybala as well or the other being we get De Ketelaere but after seeing this it’s looking more and more unlikely for us to sign De Ketelaere unfortunately

  6. Ziyech would be a very interesting signing if it’s a loan that helps the management keep enough funds for De Ketelaere and a decent CB. I know he’s irregular but this current Serie A isn’t exactly the premier league. Also, I think it’s important to remember that we have a player that nobody is talking about, who having played as more of a defensive midfielder had more assists this season than Renato, Gundogan, Verrati, Kante, even more assists than players like Dybala, Pellegrini, Bernardo, Paqueta and almost the same as Modric who all play in far more offensive positions and he did that being far younger than most of them (only 21 years old) and playing for one of the worst teams in the league (the same league where Renato, Verrati, Tchouameni or Paqueta just played, btw)…Yacine Adli. I think we are sleeping on that kid because Girondins had such a horrible season but he is quite interesting. He did a lot playing for that disaster of a team and he’s only 21 years old. If he had played for a team with a bigger name such as Lyon or Marseille, he prolly would have had even better stats and he would cost 50 million, especially if he had played for a team like Lyon because that’s how the market works nowadays. I think most fans and press have forgotten about Adli but he can surprise many and he can play in Brahim’s position without problems too. He can play in a midfield with Tonali and Bennacer and do good. I don’t think he’s going to be Milan’s savior or anything but the kid is a great prospect and maybe we’re sleeping on him a bit.

    1. In my opinion I think Ziyech can thrive in Serie A IF he doesn’t keep getting injured, it shows that his ability is not maximised in the prem as he seems to be a more technical than physical player. When he was at Ajax he was incredible in the UCL so he definitely has the potential to be at that level so fingers crossed in a more technical league he can be back to his former self! I do also think that if we get Ziyech that we should also go for De Ketelaere. We won’t be spending much for this Ziyech loan so I think we should be more inclined to spend around 35 mil on De Ketelaere

  7. Every day Milan open talks over zieych, Milan open talks over Dybala, Milan open talks over Botman, Milan open talks over Sanchez, Milan open talks over lang over De Ketelare over Enzo etc , and the final outcome, Origi, free transfer!
