As has been reported by Fabrizio Romano in his CaughtOffside Substack column, there is a genuine desire from Milan to sign both Tijjani Reijnders and Musah, even though Tommaso Pobega is staying and Ruben Loftus-Cheek has already arrived.
It is a further sign that Stefano Pioli is moving to a 4-3-3 formation, given there are so many deeper midfielders in the team with more on the way.
Musah agreed on personal terms with Milan a few weeks ago so there is no issue there, it is a case of agreeing on a fee with Valencia. A new round of talks will take place where they will seek a compromise somewhere between €17 million and €25 million.
He was one of the standout performers for the USA at the 2022 Qatar World Cup.
