CM: Carnevali’s clue and a choice between red and blue – the latest on Scamacca’s future

Sassuolo striker Gianluca Scamacca is likely to face the choice of which Milanese team he wants to join in the summer, according to a report.

Calciomercato.com report that it is Inter who moved first for the Italian centre-forward as Beppe Marotta began talks with Sassuolo chief Giovanni Carnevali both about Scamacca and Davide Frattesi, as well as Giacomo Raspadori too.

However, Milan’s sporting director Frederic Massara has also made a move as he has been an admirer of Scamacca since his time at Roma, and the Rossoneri know that they must soon make an investment to freshen up the attacking department.

Carnevali has also given a clue on what might happen regarding the 23-year-old when he talked about Manuel Locatelli: “Just look at Locatelli: in the end it is us and the player who have decided to accept an offer from Juventus that is slightly lower than an offer from England.”

In that case it was Locatelli who chose his destination, preferring Juve to Arsenal, and Sassuolo had to change their conditions a little. The same thing could happen with Scamacca especially if the offers that the Emilian club get are similar.

Scamacca may therefore be left choosing between Inter and Milan because he seems to prefer the idea of staying in Italy and according to what filters at the moment, he is more likely to choose the Nerazzurri.
