Sky Germany: Bayern Munich ‘have enquired’ about Milan star – director a ‘big fan’

Bayern Munich were recently linked with a move for AC Milan star Mike Maignan, and now there is another player that is attracting their interest according to a report.

Tomori joined Milan during the 2020-21 season on an initial loan from Chelsea that became a permanent deal six months later and he has been nothing short of sensational since his arrival at the club, revolutionising the defensive approach.

However, with such performances he has attracted interest from other top clubs around Europe. Sky Germany’s Florian Plettenberg is reporting that Bayern ‘have enquired’ about the Englishman.

He is ‘on the list’ of centre-back targets for the Bundesliga champions but is ‘currently injured’. He was ‘discussed internally’ in the last few weeks, presumably before he picked up his muscle problem.

Plettenberg adds that Bayern’s sporting director Christoph Freund is ‘a big fan’ of the 26-year-old, but the move is ‘currently unlikely as Milan is not looking to sell Tomori this month’. However, it’s not ruled out that they could make another attempt.

The former Chelsea man will not be back any time soon, and while the risk of surgery was avoided after his recent muscle problem, he is looking at a minimum of two months out due to the severity of the problem.
