Bennacer started the first game of the season against Torino but on Saturday in the defeat to Parma he not only lost his starting spot and was relegated to the bench but he also remained an unused substitute and didn’t even warm up.

DzBallon in his native Algeria reported earlier today that the former Empoli midfielder is ‘at the heart of intense speculation about his future’ because Saudi clubs are ‘ready to pay astronomical sums’. They even added that one side have offered Bennacer €15/yr salary, which is tempting him a lot.

In his usual daily update from Milanello, Sky’s Peppe Di Stefano gave updates regarding Bennacer and also the deal between Milan and Roma for Tammy Abraham, with his comments relayed by Radio Rossonera.

“He’s been absent for the third day in a row. We’ll check and understand the reasons. [It is] Important news because anything could happen regarding Bennacer, even incomings,” he said.

“Abraham-Saelemaekers? Idea reborn and put together yesterday evening. An exchange with cash adjustment to Roma to have a second striker of value.

“Abraham is a player of undoubted value, the deal that sees Saelemaekers go the other way goes a bit to deny what Fonseca had said about the Belgian, but it is clear that these are the dynamics of the market.”
