Alessandro Florenzi has denied any notion that he bet on football games, although the AC Milan defender has admitted that he did gamble on other online games.

As Sky recall, Florenzi was called in front of the Turin Prosecutor’s office accused of the illegal exercise of gambling and betting activities. He was charged with the case provided for in the article 4 of law 401 of 1989, the same as Nicolo Zaniolo.
The players Sandro Tonali and Nicolò Fagioli were also investigated in the same proceeding, receiving a 10 and 7-month ban respectively because it turned out that they had in fact bet on football matches.
The meeting at the prosecutor’s office in Turin between Florenzi and the prosecutor Manuela Pedrotta as part of the investigation into illegal betting lasted approximately an hour.
At the end, Florenzi (who presented himself as a suspect) left the courthouse and he also apparently issued a comment on the fact that he is being investigated, which was relayed by SportMediaset (via MilanNews).
“Betting yes, but never on football and only on other games, including roulette,” he said.
