Sky: Jovic may not start against Cagliari whilst Pulisic could hold his place

Luke Jovic may not be set for his first AC Milan start against Cagliari despite previous suggestions that he would be replacing Olivier Giroud.

As has been reported by Sky Sport Italia’s Peppe Di Stefano at Milanello (via Francesco Nasato), the Serbian striker is not expected to start in Sardinia.

Stefano Pioli is almost certainly going to be giving Giroud a rest given he did not look at his best against Verona on Saturday and there is a game against Lazio at the weekend to think about.

Other reports said that the front three would be made up of Samuel Chukwueze, Noah Okafor and Jovic but Di Stefano thinks that Christian Pulisic is going to keep his place.

This suggests that Okafor would be the player at the centre of that three rather than Pulisic or Chukwueze, but the latter two players both prefer to be on the right wing rather than the left.
