Sky Germany: RB Leipzig readying new offer for Milan target after €32m bid is rejected

AC Milan are at risk of missing out on one of their targets for the centre-forward role with RB Leipzig pressing hard to get Lois Openda, a report claims.

According to what is being reported by Sky Germany (via SempreMilan.it), Leipzig are in the market for a new centre-forward with Christopher Nkunku heading to Chelsea, and they have identified Openda as the right profile.

RC Lens have rejected a first offer of €27m plus €5m in bonuses for the 23-year-old, but a new offer from the German club could arrive in the next few days, increasing the fixed part to €30m.

Openda amassed 21 goals in 38 league games and was the fourth-top scorer in Ligue 1 behind Kylian Mbappe (29), Alexander Lacazzette (27) and Jonathan David (24).

Milan are currently more strongly linked with a move for Marcus Thuram but his salary demands cut see him end up joining Paris Saint-Germain, while the name of Gianluca Scamacca also continues to circulate.
