Sky: Milan management want long-term deal for defender – new meeting scheduled

The Milan management are at work to secure the long-term futures of several players and Davide Calabria is one of those, a report claims.

Franck Kessie and Davide Calabria both have contracts expiring in 2022 and after both had fantastic seasons, Milan are keen to avoid another situation like the one that has seen Gianluigi Donnarumma depart and Hakan Calhanoglu keep the club waiting.

According to the latest from Sky Italia (via MilanLive), Maldini and Massara will meet with the entourage of Calabria this week to discuss the extension of his contract, and it could be the definitive meeting to finally achieve a full agreement.

The Italian had a difficult 2019-20 campaign due to a combination of poor form, injuries and suspensions, but he bounced back with an excellent season during which he established himself as one of the first names on the team sheet and made the right-back role very much his own.
