According to what was reported by Peppe Di Stefano live on Sky (via MilanNews), Pioli has granted an additional day of rest to those players – for example like Christian Pulisic – who in the last period have been used with more frequency and continuity.

The rest of the team instead started work at Milanello to prepare for Saturday evening’s match against Atalanta at the Gewiss Stadium. As far as Rafael Leao is concerned, the tests he will carry out tomorrow will be decisive, to understand whether the muscle injury has healed or whether he still needs some time to recover.

The attacking department has been stretched thin because of Leao’s injury as well as Noah Okafor’s and Olivier Giroud’s two-game suspension, so the option to manage workloads seems like a wise one.
