According to Peppe Di Stefano of Sky Italia, Giampaolo already has a clear picture of how the starting eleven will look, and especially the midfield department.
As we have seen in the pre-season games, Borini, Biglia and Calhanoglu have formed the trio in the middle. As stated by Di Stefano, it’s not unlikely that this will be the case against Udinese next week.
During today’s training session, the three had a few exercises together away from the team, which could indicate that they will get the responsibility in the middle of the pitch.
Then again, there is still some time left before Giampaolo will have to make a decision. Furthermore, Bennacer is likely to feature in Saturday’s friendly against Cesena, which could change the situation.
