Samuel Chukwueze is really just one step away from joining AC Milan. The latter have reached an agreement with Villarreal for the transfer and the player is scheduled to arrive in the coming days. Below are all the details.
The negotiations took quite a long time, given Villarreal’s initial demands, but a middle ground was eventually found between the parties. Today, Villarreal accepted Milan’s offer of €20m plus €8m in bonuses, as per our colleagues at SempreMilan.it.
Chukwueze will arrive in the coming days and will sign a five-year contract worth €4m per season. Furthermore, Matteo Gabbia will join the Spanish side on a season-long loan. It was a way for Milan to sweeten the deal, even if the two operations will remain separate on paper.
After completing the medicals and signing the contract, likely to take place on Monday, the right-winger will fly to Los Angeles to join his new teammates for the pre-season tour. He could perhaps make his debut against Juve or Barcelona.
