SM: Thiaw, Vranckx and Dest anonymous so far – Pioli’s plan to integrate each

AC Milan fans have not seen much from a trio of signings that arrived in the closing stages of the summer window, but Stefano Pioli has a plan in mind.

Milan did three bits of business late in the mercato as Malick Thiaw joined on a permanent from Schalke 04 while Aster Vranckx and Sergino Dest joined on loan with option to buy deals from Wolfsburg and Barcelona respectively.

Our colleagues at SempreMilan.it have given an update on where the trio stand in terms of integration and among the three it is Dest who is the one most ready to date, as seen by the fact he got a few minutes against Red Bull Salzburg.

The USA international is in top physical condition and that means he could even get his first start for the Rossoneri on Saturday against Sampdoria at the Marassi, giving Davide Calabria chance to rest.

It is a different story for Thiaw and Vranckx, as the two players still have to be 100% both physically and tactically, but they are responding well to the lessons given to them by Pioli in training. To see them on the field though it will be necessary to wait a few more weeks.
