Source claims Milan star Donnarumma has agreed new deal without release clause

AC Milan goalkeeper Gianluigi Donnarumma has agreed a contract extension with the Rossoneri which will see him remain beyond 2021, it is claimed.

The dilemma that the Rossoneri face regarding the future of the 21-year-old has been well documented. His deal runs until 2021, meaning the club must either agree a renewal before next season or consider selling so as to avoid the risk of losing a prized asset on a free transfer next year.

There has been good news filtering regarding the situation over the last few weeks, with several reputable sources reporting that Milan are optimistic about a positive conclusion to the talks.

According to transfer source Louis Girardi on Twitter, Donnarumma and Milan have found an agreement over a new deal without a release clause.

He adds that Mino Raiola has approved the renewal, which will see Donnarumma remain at the club beyond the terms of his current contract.
