AC Milan confirmed earlier in the week that Massimiliano Allegri has been appointed as the head coach, and it will be his second spell.

On their official website, Milan announced that Allegri will be back 11 years after he first left. He will take over from Sergio Conceicao as the head coach, who joined on December 30 but lasted just a few months.
A strong decision
Above all else, the move serves as a statement of intent from the Milan management. It was known going into the summer that they would not take a gamble, but if you fancy a flutter check out crypto sports betting.
It has been known for some time that Milan were searching for the replacement for Conceicao, with the sporting director Igli Tare working on things from Monday. Many candidates were linked, then it emerged that Allegri was target number one.
He joins a Milan that must be reborn after a failed season, without any European football to think about and a new era to embark on. The Diavolo felt they needed an Italian coach who is experienced and has won: Max ticks all the boxes.
A past littered with silverware
Allegri has six Scudetti on his personal honours board – one with Milan and five with Juventus – plus three Supercoppa Italiani (one with the Rossoneri, two in Turin) and holds the record for Coppa Italia wins: five, all with the Bianconeri.
Born in Livorno on 11 August 1967, Allegri played in Serie A for Pisa, Pescara, Cagliari, Perugia, and Napoli before beginning his coaching career in 2002. He managed Aglianese, SPAL, Grosseto, and Sassuolo before making his Serie A coaching debut with Cagliari in 2008.
In 2010, he joined AC Milan, winning the Club’s 18th Scudetto in his first season, followed by the Italian Super Cup in 2011. From 2014 to 2019, and again from 2021 to 2024, he was in charge of Juventus, leading them to 5 Serie A titles, 5 Coppa Italia trophies, and 2 Italian Super Cups.
Tare’s clue
Perhaps we should have seen it coming. Tare was a guest on Tring Sport Albania to cover the Champions League games between Barcelona vs. Borussia Dortmund and Paris Saint-Germain vs. Aston Villa last month.
He was on a panel along with fellow Albanian and fellow ex-Lazio man Lorik Cana, and he was asked about the Milan rumours that are doing the rounds, with Calciomercato.com relayed his comments.
“I can’t say anything (laughs). They have a good squad and can compete for the Scudetto. The best Italian coaches? Allegri and Conte.”
