Calciomercato.com have published a reflection on the goalless draw between Milan and Juventus last night, remarking how a fear of losing the game ended up conditioning what was a boring game. As a club Milan are thinking step by step, with a vision devoted to the future, but there is a risk of losing sight of the present as well.
The next signing will be 18-year-old striker Marko Lazetic who will arrive from Red Star in the next two or three days. He is a very interesting purchase for the future, but he is not expected to have a huge impact this season or maybe in the next couple of seasons given his lack of experience.
To try to threaten Inter’s march towards the title, three signings would be needed in the last week of the transfer market as per the report. Firstly, a reliable defender would have to arrive – not just as cover but one who can also serve into next season and beyond.
Then, a strong attacking midfielder would certainly help given the poor performances of Brahim Diaz, and then a right winger with a different technical level and skill set to Junior Messias and Alexis Saelemakers.
It is likely at this stage that only a centre-back will arrive such as Japhet Tanganga of Spurs, unless Maldini and Massara decide to make a surprise signing with the characteristics of Romain Faivre.
