Rade Krunic was left out of the squad for AC Milan’s game against Empoli away from home today, but a potential move to Fenerbahce seems difficult at the moment.
During his pre-match press conference yesterday, Pioli made it clear that Krunic is free to find another club. The former Empoli midfielder has not been used for some time and while the official line from the club has been that the midfielder has had a back problem recently, the exit talk persists.
As TMW reports, it is certainly no mystery that Krunic is a target for Fenerbahce and he has been since last summer, when the Turkish club turned his head with the prospect of a pay rise.
Pioli vetoed the exit a few months ago as he considered him one of his most crucial players, but now the situation has totally changed and Krunic is traveling on the fringes of the Rossoneri squad, having also not trained with the group for a while.
Fenerbahce’s offer is still the same, €4.5m, and they are very unlikely to raise it. At the moment the situation is at a standstill and it cannot be ruled out that the Turkish club may decide to move on to another target.
In short, the next few days will be decisive in understanding whether the sale of the 30-year-old will be possible or not, but there are seemingly other clubs keen too.
