Moretto: Saudi, Greek and Russian clubs join Fenerbahce in Krunic pursuit

By Oliver Fisher -

Stefano Pioli made it clear yesterday that Rade Krunic is no longer a part of AC Milan’s plans and now the management are trying to find the best sale solution.

Krunic has not been used by Pioli for some time and while the official line from the club has been that the midfielder has had a back problem recently, it has certainly fuelled the fire regarding exit speculation.

During his pre-match press conference yesterday, Pioli made it clear that he is free to find another club.

“The reality is that at this moment, it’s better for all parties that he’s looking for a new team. However, it’s absolutely not true that Krunic ruined it for himself. I’m the one who made the decisions, simply because I saw that his performances were not what they used to be.”

Matteo Moretto of Relevo is reporting on X that Fenerbahçe will keep trying in the next few hours to agree a deal for Krunic, but for now there is a distance of around €2-3m between what they are offering and the demands of the management.

He adds that in the last few hours other teams have moved to try and get the Bosnian. There have been contacts with Al-Shabab in Saudi Arabia, as well as requests for information from Russian and Greek clubs.

Moretto adds that it is an ‘evolving situation’, with more updates expected in the coming days as the Rossoneri seek a solution.
