TMW report that while there is speculation about very concrete interest in Onana of Bordeaux, the club are also pressing for Ibrahima Sissoko of Strasbourg.
The French midfielder has a valuation close to €8m and has a contract expiring in June 2024. He has attracted the interest of Paolo Maldini and Ricky Massara after a recommendation from chief scout Geoffrey Moncada, who knows the French market well.
Now 24, Sissoko has represented France up until U21 level and is of Malian descent. He was in the youth system of Brest from 2014-18 before moving on to Strasbourg where he has been since, and last season he racked up 35 appearances in Ligue 1 for the Alsace club, scoring two goals.
Predominantly a defensive midfielder, Sissoko has also played as a centre-back at times in his young career.
