TMW report that Milan have a budget of around €20m for the striker position in January having failed to land Mehdi Taremi from Porto towards then end of the summer window, and they want to sign Guirassy.
He has 16 goals in 10 appearances this season and average a goal every 47 minutes or every 45 minutes counting only the Bundesliga, and the release clause that he has perfectly matches up with the Rossoneri’s available funds.
In recent weeks, Moncada went in person to Stuttgart to watch Guirassy and he got excellent impressions. The player’s salary is fully within Milan’s parameters, given that he receives around €1m net per season and it wouldn’t be a problem to (at least) double it.
What remains to be understood is the player’s desire which, at least until a few weeks ago, was to remain in the Bundesliga until the end of the season. On the other hand, Milan have an almost irresistible charm, especially for a 26-six year old player who grew up watching the team of Pirlo, Kakà, Shevchenko and Inzaghi.
If anything, the obstacle is understanding who else will move for the player because the competition will be very strong, in particular from Premier League clubs who have no problem offering a rich contract to the centre-forward.
