Massimiliano Allegri appears to be just one step away from becoming the new manager of Napoli, and according to a report, he might try to bring two Milan players with him.

Allegri was relieved of his duties after Milan’s defeat to Cagliari, which resulted in them missing out on the Champions League. The sacking was far from a surprise, in other words, and it seems a few clubs saw it coming.
Indeed, Napoli have moved quickly and are now closing in on the 58-year-old’s signature, keen on bringing him in as the replacement for Antonio Conte. Of course, Milan still need to give their go-ahead and above all, Allegri has to agree to take no severance payment.
Two stars to Napoli?
According to Tuttosport this morning (via MilanNews), if the move gets over the line, then Allegri could attempt to bring two Milan players with him: Adrien Rabiot and Alexis Saelemaekers. Both were considered key players this past season.
Rabiot played 2550 minutes in the league, scoring six goals and assisting an additional five in the process. Saelemaekers, meanwhile, got even more minutes at 2802 albeit fewer goals and assists (three and four respectively).
In short, it’s easy to see why Allegri wants to bring these players with him, especially Rabiot who has always expressed how well he works with the gaffer. That said, Milan likely wouldn’t give any discounts…
