Tuttosport: Botman remains the priority but Milan also have a backup plan

Over the last few months, Sven Botman has been heavily linked with a move to Italy as AC Milan are looking to reinforce their defence for next season. And he remains a concrete option for the club, a report claims.

Obviously, since the summer market isn’t open yet, there hasn’t been huge progress in the last few weeks but Milan are indeed interested. As reported by Tuttosport (via TMW), Botman is the priority especially since Alessio Romagnoli is set to leave as well.

Recently, Botman’s agents were even at Casa Milan to discuss a summer move and it seems there’s optimism. There’s no doubt that he would be a good addition and the fact that he’s left-footed helps.

As the newspaper continues, Milan do have a backup target if they can’t get the Dutchman and he is Torino’s Gleison Bremer. The Brazilian has been excellent for Torino this season but it should be mentioned that Inter also are interested in his services.

Once we get closer to the summer, there should be some more clarity with regards to the centre-back pursuit.
