Tuttosport: Cercle Brugge star emerges as alternative with Zirkzee’s price rocketing

AC Milan are almost certain to sign at least one new striker during the summer transfer window and they have turned their attentions to a player in Belgium, a report claims.

Milan could well say goodbye to Olivier Giroud given that his contract expires at the end of the season and thus it will be necessary to invest in a new profile for the future, who offers guarantees in terms of replacing the Frenchman’s goals.

According to this morning’s edition of Tuttosport (via PianetaMilan) – which references yesterday’s report from Calciomercato.com – Kevin Denkey is a new name that has emerged on the list of Geoffrey Moncada and his team.

Denkey is enjoying an extraordinary year with Cercle Brugge: in 31 games he has scored 26 goals so far. The amount to be invested should not exceed €20m, and that makes him a much cheaper option than some of the other names linked.

Joshua Zirkzee is one of the names that is high on Milan’s list, but Bologna want €70m for him because there are clauses in favour of Bayern Munich, plus competition from Juventus to deal with.

That is the same sum that Sporting CP would like to receive for Viktor Gyokeres, who actually has a €100m clause. Feyenoord want €60-70m for Santiago Gimenez, while €50m is the price for Benjamin Sesko of RB Leipzig, Jonathan David of Lille and Victor Boniface of Bayer Leverkusen.
