As has been reported by Tuttosport (via Milan News), the Rossoneri could still sink the decisive blow to bring the English midfielder to the club.
The Rossoneri were previously close to signing Loftus-Cheek but the sacking of Paolo Maldini and Frederic Massara meant the deal had to be put on ice while the club assessed its new and existing targets.
Circumstances surrounding other targets, such as the rising price of Tajjin Reijnders and the hesitation of Arda Guler, may lead Milan to go all in on Loftus-Cheek and ensure they get some reinforcement for the midfield as soon as possible.
Chelsea are very keen to get as many sales through as possible and Loftus-Cheek is one of the names that they would like off of the wage bill.
