Samardzic is a player that Stefano Pioli appreciates a lot, given that he can play both in the midfield tandem and as an attacking midfielder. Prior to his move to RB Leipzig in 2020, it should be mentioned, Milan were also linked with him.
According to today’s edition of Tuttosport (see photo below), Milan are in talks with Udinese over the Serbian midfielder, who also has a German passport. The Rossoneri could include some technical counterparts to lower the cash part, just like they are trying to do in the Davide Frattesi talks.
The current theme, therefore, is to get the best deals possible by also getting rid of the outcasts in the squad. Samardzic isn’t the only midfield target, though, and the next few weeks could be decisive.
