Tuttosport: Donnarumma wants to stay but Raiola is playing hard ball over release clause

Gianluigi Donnarumma has made it clear that his desire is to stay at Milan but his agent Mino Raiola could make things difficult, a report claims.

According to Monday’s edition of Tuttosport (via MilanNews), the focus for the time being is the renewal of Zlatan Ibrahimovic, but the time will soon come to address Donnarumma’s future to given his contract expires in June 2021.

Donnarumma has made it clear that he wants to stay, but negotiations for the renewal have not yet officially begun. There have already been contacts with Raiola, but the time will soon come to sit down at the negotiating table.

Raiola continues to have many doubts about Milan’s project and the paper adds that it is ‘no secret’ he would rather take him to another top club that is fighting to win the Champions League.

The Italo-Dutch agent is willing to meet the will of his client by securing him a renewal with the Rossoneri, but he will ask that there must be a release clause inserted to ensure that the 21-year-old can leave if things do not go to plan.
