AC Milan appear to have fended off the interest from Fenerbahce and are expected to keep hold of Rade Krunic beyond deadline day, a report claims.

According to Tuttosport (via PianetaMilan), Fenerbahce’s interest in Krunic is concrete but Milan have put up a wall because the midfielder has always been held in high regard by Stefano Pioli due to his versatility and tactical intelligence.
Krunic’s friend and compatriot Edin Džeko – who has just joined the Turkish club – has tried to put some pressure on the Bosnian to join but at the moment they are set to be disappointed.
Fenerbahce have offered Krunic a four-year deal worth €3.5m net per season which is almost triple what Milan currently pay him, but they are only offering €7m as a transfer fee which is about half what the Rossoneri management are asking for.
Letting Krunic leave now – considering his importance in Pioli’s training and with the season just around the corner – is not in Milan’s plans, and a truly irrefutable offer must arrive for this stance to change.
If Krunic were to stay, which seems the most likely scenario at the moment, the negotiation for the renewal of his contract and consequent pay rise would begin.
