Sandro Tonali is closing in on completing his move to Newcastle United from AC Milan, and the reaction of his team-mates has been revealed.

According to Tuttosport, the negotiation for the sale of Tonali to Newcastle – owned by a Saudi Arabian sovereign wealth fund – is nearing completion.
Yesterday in Milan there were several meetings between the parties involved where the details of the operation were further defined, both with regards to the transfer fee that the Rossoneri will receive and the terms for the player.
The paper states that Tonali’s team-mates at Milan were ‘humanly sorry’ at first to see the Italy international leave but then ‘understood his decision’ when factoring in the huge pay rise he will get and the fact the club agreed to sell him.
Now all that remains is for the former Brescia man to complete his medical – which is expected to happy today – and then put pen to paper on a six-year deal with Newcastle and begin a new adventure in the Premier League.
