Tuttosport: Ibrahimovic will sign Milan renewal shortly – details of the contract

Zlatan Ibrahimovic will continue his adventure at AC Milan, which isn’t exactly a surprise to anyone. The Swede may be recovering from a serious knee injury, but the Rossoneri are still very aware of his importance to the team.

The 40-year-old, who will turn 41 in October, underwent surgery earlier this summer to fix the knee that troubled him for the second half of the 2021/22 season. Towards the end, he was only able to play 10 minutes per game and trained just once a week.

He’s expected to be back in action at the start of 2023 and Milan know that his determination will get him back into good shape. As per Tuttosport (via MilanNews), the renewal is now very imminent and could even be signed in the next few hours.

The fixed part of the salary will be €1-1.5m, and the rest will be made up of bonuses related to individual targets (such as goals and assists). Since Ibrahimovic is currently working on his recovery program while on vacation, he could sign the contract electronically.
